The interior as a spiritual place to have a moment for yourself. Holy Moly is a sacral atmosphere with impressive and monumental shapes. The experience of colours and materials is modest with concrete, wood, stone, glass optics as foundation and trendy accents of brique, sky blue and salmon pink. The Thomas church in Amsterdam is the inspiring décor for this new trend in the interior world. The brute architecture is translated to design objects with block-like, geometric and repeated shapes. This building, designed by Karel Sijmons (1908-1989), counts as a highlight from the Dutch church-architecture after 1945. It’s clearly inspired by the style from the Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier (1887-1965).
